I feel like most of these covers are very dark and foreboding! They definitely don't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. However, I am really excited about a few of them! Moon Knight seemed to wrap up an arc with the last issue, which makes me curious about where the story will go from here (especially with that cliffhanger...).
All-New Wolverine is nearly over. There's only one more issue after this! The last one jumped waaaaaay into the future, and I loved seeing what people were doing in their "old" age. The president made me laugh, but I think it was the perfect choice. Gabby seems to be doing really well for herself, and I'm overjoyed that she's found so much happiness in life. There are still a lot of mysteries to be solved before it can end!
Deadpool might heal incredibly fast, but he still feels pain... right? Because if that's true, I think he's about to experience a lot of it at once.
Hunt for Wolverine is finally here!!
I have a bad feeling about Legion. I read the previous issue recently and I don't think good things are about to happen. It's also really confusing being in his headspace.
I'm still catching up on all of my Venom issues, but hopefully it won't take me too much longer...
Which of these covers do you like the most? Even though I refuse to read Hit-Girl ever again, I do love the covers.
What a spooky Moon Knight cover! They're doing some interesting things with his covers lately... that Venom cover is pretty amazing too.
ReplyDeleteI think it's supposed to be him as a kid (the Moon Knight cover), and I want to know if it's going to be like a flashback issue... or something else!
DeleteHit Girl looks like something I would enjoy. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for it!
ReplyDeleteHit-Girl isn't one that I like to read! I tried the first two, but it's just so needlessly violent. She enjoys killing way too much, and I don't think she has a conscious. I'm not even sure what her motives are for killing as many people as she does, or how she acquires such bizarre weaponry.
DeleteMy husband likes it! I don't really know what your tastes are, but you should try it if you think you'll enjoy it. :)
I like the cover for Hunt For Wolverine.
ReplyDeleteWhen I called about this one it was a $30 variant, so I switched to the Torque cover. It's purple and still pretty awesome, but I'd already made this post and didn't want to start over, lol.
Deletelol no they don't look warm
ReplyDeleteDark and disturbing for sure!
DeleteLOL! I totally get your love for the Hit Girl cover even if you'll never read it. Oh I admit, I'm loving the Wolverine cover too.
ReplyDeleteI can enjoy good artwork even if I don't care for the story! Lol!
DeleteI agree they certainly aren't warm and fuzzy. I hope Legion works out.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I think something bad has to happen first, you know? Then things can start improving (I hope...).
DeleteMoon Knight's cover caught my attention!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read it and see what the new arc is going to be about! (I think it's going to be a new arc... we'll see.)
DeleteHunt for Wolverine is the one that looks intriguing to me Lindsi! And I'm so curious... why do you get Hit-Girl if you aren't going to read it? And why are you banning it?! ;)
ReplyDeleteBecause Jacob likes to read it! My pull list is all the comics we get together for the week. We usually read the same things, but there are a few differences. Like, he enjoys Hit-Girl, but doesn't read Runaways like I do.
DeleteHit-Girl just likes to kill for the sake of killing. It's violent, incredibly graphic, and I don't really understand what her purpose is. WHY does she go around killing all these people? Are they all "bad" guys? Where does she get all of her weapons?! And they're not normal weapons, but modified and crazy versions of normal things. She's also CRAZY.
Oooh! Great haul!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erica!
DeleteThese do seem dark and brooding; I like it though. :) I'm glad you're enjoying Wolverine. That's cool the last issue jumped to the future!!

They're trying to wrap things up with All-New Wolverine. I believe #35 will be the last issue Tom Taylor writes, and then someone else will take over. They aren't going to be following the same story, and I think the title is being changed to X-23 or something.
DeleteLaure and Gabby are in Tom Taylor's X-Men Red, so I'm getting my fix there at the moment. :)
DeleteI like the all black and white cover the best :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan of Moon Knight at first, but it really grew on me over time! I'm happy I decided to keep reading it. <3
