2018 End of the Year Giveaway!

Hello lovelies! I just wanted to say thank you for visiting and commenting on this blog! I really enjoy seeing your thoughts and love it when they turn into discussions. The book blogging community is so unbelievably supportive and understanding, and I'm lucky to be a part of it!

I decided to celebrate the end of the year with a giveaway! December is zooming by, and I've barely had time to breathe. We're also in the middle of a move, so my life is pretty insane right now. I loathe packing boxes, but I love finding new places for everything! Fingers crossed everything is sorted out by the beginning of the year! Apologies for my absence as well!

Last month I went to The Origin Event that was hosted by Jennifer L. Armentrout, so both The Darkest Star and the book sleeve were autographed by JLA (she really is a beautiful person)! The book sleeve was made specifically for this book's release, so I was happy they still had a few when I arrived!

Good luck everyone!

Rules:

This giveaway officially starts on December 14th and ends on December 29th. The winner will be announced on December 30th on this post within the Rafflecopter form, and also notified via email. The winner will have 48 hours to respond or I will have Rafflecopter select another winner (read my full giveaway policy here).

International friends -- your giveaway will be a little different! Instead the books mentioned above, you can choose one book (up to $15) from The Book Depository! Just make sure they ship to you, which can check here. I know it's not the same thing, but I didn't want to leave anyone out!

If the first winner is international, a second winner will be chosen for the books listed above.

  1. Finger crossed for your move! The holidays are pretty insane as it is (and even more with three kids, I suppose ๐Ÿ˜‰), so adding it to the mix must be exhausting. But I agree, it's nice to find new places for things and redecorate.

Random thought: the gentle fall of snow on your blog complements this post's images perfectly ๐Ÿ™‚.

You got a great swag here! Not my kind of reads, so I'm leaving this giveaway to my blogging fellows, but all the signed things and ARCs and stuff are yummy!

    1. Thanks! We'll be doing a lot of traveling around the holidays, so the next few weeks are going to be pretty crazy. I'm looking forward to moving and getting settled in, and then I think I'm going to sit and read for a week -- haha! Jacob can watch the kids, right??

My snow isn't always noticeable with the white background, but I like the way it falls across pictures. <3

Your comment made me realize I'd forgotten the International portion of my giveaway, so thanks! Now you can choose a book you want instead of the ones listed. ;)

      He sure can! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‰

And thank you for the INT giveaway!

    3. I would never intentionally exclude you or any other INT person! I'm happy you can participate now. <3 There have been giveaways in the past that were US only, but that was before I discovered TBD and it's many wonders!

  2. Oh thank you for this wonderful giveaway and I hope you'll have a great time!

As for the book I am the most excited about... The next Anne Bishop one maybe? I have so many great series I can't wait to read more about like October daye by Seanan Mcguire for example too.

    1. Hah -- I meant which of the books listed for the giveaway, but I'll take it! I don't think I've read anything by Anne Bishop. Do you have a favorite book? Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Good luck with your move, those things can be super-stressful!
And thank you so much for the giveaway (and especially for having an INT part <3)

I read one or two books by Jennifer Armentrout a long time ago and they didn't mesh with me, but I keep seeing a lot of you guys super-excited about her novels, so I'm thinking I'll have to give them another chance. Maybe I picked them up at the wrong moment, it can happen!
Me, if we're talking books releasing soon, I'm currently very excited about The Wicked King and King of Scars, for example.

    1. Traveling with three small children and our dogs is very stressful! I know they don't want to just sit in a car, and sleeping can very uncomfortable in a car seat. Also, stopping to let dogs pee and to change diapers can take forever, which only adds time to our trip.

I want to make sure everyone is included in some way! I might not be able to afford the shipping for the books listed, but The Book Depository ships for free. :)

I haven't read all of JLA's books, but I really enjoyed the Lux series! This is a spinoff from that, so I'm sure it'll be great! I haven't actually had a chance to read my copy. ;)

I was curious which of the books listed people would be excited about, but releasing soon works! I'm also super excited about The Wicked King, and was lucky enough to borrow a review copy from a friend! I'm going to start it soon!! <3

  4. I do not even want to think about moving, good luck!

Awesome giveaway too and yay for being included. I'd prob choose something from my ever growing wishlist, I will never get to the bottom of it, lol. As for new ones, wow, I never keep track, suddenly a new book is out and I am all whaaat? Like Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, totally missed that he was even writing it

    1. It's always hectic! I've got a lot of things in boxes, so now it's just getting them loaded up on moving day. My wishlist is insane! I'm always surprised when I discover a favorite author has written a new book. It's so hard to keep up with everything!

    1. 2018 has been a really great year for books! I've discovered a lot of new favorites (The Kiss Quotient, the Kate Daniels series, Emma Chase's books). Some of them were new releases, and some have been around for years! I love JLA, but I'm waiting to read The Darkest Star. I want to re-read the Lux series to get myself back in that world before starting the spinoff. It's been too long!

    1. It rarely snows in Texas, so driving isn't going to be an issue (if that's what you meant by moving during the winter). The kids and the dogs are always crazy, haha. They definitely don't want to sit in a car for very long! Moving is just a pain in general, though I love arriving and finding new places for our stuff. It's like redecorating with the same things!

This year I’m going to put small a tree for Christmas in my room.

    1. I am so ready to be at the new place. This middle phase is awful! Everything is in a box or scattered around the house, and it's impossible to remember what I've packed and what I haven't. I'll start looking for something before remembering I packed it two days ago (thinking I wouldn't need it before the move). It's fun -- haha!

      Delete
    2. You ain't lying! Lol I've been there and never want to be there again (but I'm sure I will lol)
Ugh and got to love the things that magically sprout legs and run away. You KNOW you packed it, can even recall the box, yet apparently box trolls ate it or something. Lol

    3. Box Trolls! My son loves that movie! But yes, you're right! Things will magically disappear even though I KNOW I put them somewhere specific. Despite all of my thorough labeling, it'll still be challenging to remember where everything is. ;)

    1. Thank you for sharing! Yes, we're mid-move and basically living out of carboard boxes. I keep needing things I've already packed, because I thought I wouldn't need them. Hah! I'm so ready to just be there and be finished with the packing. <3

    1. How fun! It's always nice when you can compare a book to things you've experience/are currently experiencing. It makes the story feel even more realistic! I hope your son is enjoying himself. Are you planning on visiting so you can explore for yourself?

    3. I've been thinking about doing a reread before TDS too. I read that there's a version of the books from Daemon's POV, so I'm thinking I might read those.

Thanks for my win! I'm excited to get these!!

    4. It looks like we both need to do a re-read! I haven't read the books from Daemon's perspective either, but I've been curious. Hmm -- I wonder if they're on audio? I would be able to get through them more quickly, if they were.

    1. I would suggest hiring professional movers! I didn't mind packing everything into boxes, but loading them onto a moving truck was miserable. It took two twelve hour days, and I'm not a very strong person, haha. My poor husband was left with the literal heavy lifting, and I just did what I could do help. Thankfully, we made it, and then we had help with the unloading.

I hope you enjoy The Darkest Star! I'm really looking forward to starting it. <3
