Phew! That was a lot of comics for two weeks! I'm sorry I haven't been around. After moving and settling in, our computer decided to crash. I tried blogging from the iPad, but it was too frustrating. We finally got our computer back, so here I am! I'll try to do a lot of blog-hopping over the next few days, because I really want to see what books you've been reading! I've felt so disconnected! Clearly blogging is an addiction, or maybe it's just the books?

I'm really enjoying Firefly, and cannot wait to read the newest issue! Shades of Magic The Steel Prince is ending this week, and I'm curious how Schwab plans to wrap everything up. There's a lot going on! Finally, Domino. I'm still not a fan of the realistic covers -- aargh. I was really hoping they'd revert back to the original artwork.

Jacob's pull is insane! I don't know when he's going to find the time to read all of these... I'm considering Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, because I adore Tom Taylor! He's written some of my favorite comics (All-New Wolverine, X-Men Red), and I'm interested in seeing his take on Spider-Man.
Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings, that highlights upcoming releases that we're anticipating and excited to read. It's a spinoff of the feature Waiting on Wednesday that was hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Cold Day in the Sun by Sara Biren
Expected publication: March 12th 2019
Synopsis (via Goodreads): Holland Delviss wants to be known for her talent as a hockey player, not a hockey player who happens to be a girl. But when her school team is selected to be featured and televised as part of HockeyFest, her status as the only girl on the boys’ team makes her the lead story. Not everyone is thrilled with Holland’s new fame, but there’s one person who fiercely supports her, and it’s the last person she expects (and definitely the last person she should be falling for): her bossy team captain, Wes.

I love how simple the synopsis is: intriguing yet vague!

Happy reading everyone! I have a lot of reviews to write, and I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you. I just have to find the time to catch up! <3

    1. *fingers crossed* I don't think I've ever read a book about a female hockey player! It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun. :)

    1. I felt twitchy, haha! I have the Bloglovin' App on my iPad, but it's so difficult to comment on there. It was even more challenging trying to write a review, so I decided to just wait until our computer was fixed. Now I feel like I'll never catch back up!

    1. I don't think I realized how often I used the computer for everyday tasks! I also like to sit down and do blogging stuff once the kids are asleep, and it bothered me when I couldn't. See? Blogging addict! ;)

  7. I can definitely see Holland getting frozen out (no pun intended LOL) by her team once the media spotlight is all about her. Sounds like a good one!

    1. I'm sure there were people that disliked her being on the team from the start, so the attention would only make it worse. At least the team captain is on her side! ;)

    1. Definitely a good one! Right now I'm trying to catch up on all the reviews I missed, so the comics are taking a backseat. Must. Catch. Up. Haha!

  10. Yeah I'm not super crazy about that Domino cover either. Longshot though huh? At least I think that's him? I kinda used to hate Longshot but I guess I don't mind him so much now. His power is kinda cool, and now that I've read Vol. 1 it seems like Dom's power is very similar?

    1. I actually have no idea who Longshot is -- haha! I'll have to Google him a little later. :)

    2. He's alright I guess. He was involved with Dazzler for a while, if I remember, back when they were in the X-Men (her bright blue costume phase, I think).

    3. I'm starting to think everyone was involved with Dazzler at some point... ;)

  11. I'm dying to read the Shades of Magic comic books. Everything Schwab touches I need to get my hands on. =P I'm so sorry about your laptop - technology loves crashing when they're most needed. Cold Day in the Sun seems such a fluffy read. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out.

    Happy readings! ;)

    1. I'm so behind on my Schwab books! Have you read The Near Witch? It was the first book I read by her! I haven't read any of her newer stuff, but I definitely will! Didn't one of books win a Goodreads award last year? The comic has been amazing! <3

It was our desktop computer, so everyone used it! We don't have a TV, so I would sometimes play Netflix or PBS for the kiddos. We were all sad to be without a working computer, haha.

    1. I believe they're a prequel to the series... but I could be wrong. I think it supposed to give you a little backstory on one of the characters (but I still need to read the actual book series). :)
