Ugh, this has been a week of sickness for me and the kiddos. I think it was some sort of allergy/cold combo that took my voice and all of my energy. Thankfully, everyone is feeling better. We still cough occasionally, but it's not as bad as it was. I'm sorry I've been so absent the last few days, although I think I needed a blogging break as well. March was a super busy month for me, in life and on the blog, and being sick forced me to take some time off. I'm feeling recharged!
Nothing for me this week (again)!
Jacob's comics for the week!

PRIVATE NUMBER: Wouldn’t you look better without a cheater on your arm?
AMANDA: Who is this?
The daughter of small town social climbers, Amanda Kelly is deeply invested in her boyfriend, real estate heir Carter Shaw. He’s kind, ambitious, the town golden boy—but he’s far from perfect. Because behind Amanda’s back, Carter is also dating Rosalie.
PRIVATE NUMBER: I’m watching you, Sweetheart.
ROSALIE: Who IS this?
Rosalie Bell is fighting to remain true to herself and her girlfriend—while concealing her identity from her Christian fundamentalist parents. After years spent in and out of conversion “therapy,” her own safety is her top priority. But maintaining a fake, straight relationship is killing her from the inside.
When an anonymous texter ropes Amanda and Rosalie into a bid to take Carter down, the girls become collateral damage—and unlikely allies in a fight to unmask their stalker before Private uproots their lives.
PRIVATE NUMBER: You shouldn’t have ignored me. Now look what you made me do...

All Eyes On Us sounds creepy and intense! I've been meaning to read Frick's other book, See All the Stars, but haven't gotten around to it. I'll try to squeeze it in before this one releases.

So sorry to hear that you all were feeling so bad. Glad to hear you're feeling better. A few bloggers have been absent because of getting sick recently.
ReplyDeleteMy son does jiu-jitsu and plays soccer, so there's always the potential for germs. When one of us is sick, we don't go anywhere, because I don't want to be responsible for getting others sick. Unfortunately, there are some parents that don't feel the same way!
DeleteI had put off Frick's other book, because of negative reviews. If you read it and like it, maybe I will take a look.
ReplyDeleteReally? I hadn't heard that about her other book, but I also don't think I've read any reviews for it. I just remembered adding it to my TBR after reading the synopsis. I think it was my CWW a few months ago. If I get to it, I'll let you know!
DeleteIt seems like everyone is sick right now! Same thing here. And ooh All Eyes On Us looks like creepy fun :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is... a cold, allergies, or the constant weather changes. It's really cold one day, and then scorching the next. I hope All Eyes on Us is creepy fun!! :)
DeleteNothing for me this week either, hopefully next week though!
ReplyDeleteI'm STILL playing catch up, so it's good I haven't had anything to add the last two weeks.
DeleteGlad you're feeling better and recharged! I like the sound of All Eyes on Us - it reminds me of another book that is just as creepy and had something to do with a private number as well, but I don't recall the title of the book.
ReplyDeleteThanks! If you remember the name of the book, you'll have to let me know! <3
DeleteGood to hear you're feeling better. :) All the Eyes on Us seem so creepy and intriguing.
ReplyDeleteHappy readings! ;)

Thanks! Hopefully we can avoid getting sick again anytime soon. ;)
DeleteThat book is new to me but like the blurb!
ReplyDeleteHave you read any of the author's other books? I love how suspenseful the synopsis sounds, and already want to know who would care enough to spy on them like that. It's creepy, and I wonder what their motive is!
DeleteAll Eyes On Us sounds really kinda creepy. Plus, I feel for the character forced into gay conversion therapy (that shit is whacked). Fingers crossed it's as good as it seems!
ReplyDeleteI hate the very idea of conversion therapy, and it makes me sick that there are parents that would do that to their children. How is that love? Breaking a person, abusing them physically and emotionally, is never the right choice. Children should receive love and support from their parents.
DeleteGlad you and the kids are feeling better. Sometimes we do need a break from blogging. Missed you.
ReplyDeleteI missed YOU! I was only gone for a few days, but I feel like you've been gone forever. How are you? Enjoying being back?
DeleteDoing good. I only seem to be able to visit blogs a few times a week. So I have to always play catch up.
DeleteI try to visit other blogs at least once a week, and I sit down to respond to comments when I can! I have three kids under the age of 5, so my days are pretty busy. I don't have as much time to read, but that's okay. I'm enjoying the life I'm living now, and I know they won't remain this little forever. I'm taking advantage! <3
DeleteThey do grow up so fast. I have 2 grandkids under the age of 5. I also do not get to read a lot too. We get them 2 or 3 days a week. Usually my days off. The other days work. I am with you and love spending time with them. Everyday always feel like a new day they do something new. Love that you enjoy spending time with your kids.
