I cannot believe it's been two years since I started this book blog! A lot has changed this year alone, and it baffles me how quickly time passes these days. My son started school, the girls are nearly three (seriously cannot believe they're that old already), and I've fully embraced life as a stay-at-home-mom. It's a lovely, wonderful job that I will forever be grateful for. However, I am also endlessly thankful for all of you, and the outlet you provide for adult conversations (especially bookish ones)! I read and respond to every comment, and I do my best to visit your blogs as frequently as I can. The book blogging community is the reason I came back to blogging. I missed the friendships and conversations, the check-ins and the overwhelming support. You are all truly amazing people, and I appreciate every single one of you.
I've read a lot of amazing books this past year, and wanted to list a few of my favorites! I also want to do a giveaway, so look for the Rafflecopter form at the bottom. One winner will be randomly selected, and that person will get to choose one of the books listed below. Good luck! Thank you again for the friendships, the conversations, and for understanding that reading is an essential part of who we are.
This giveaway officially starts on September 25, 2019 and ends on October 9, 2019 (two weeks!). The winner will be announced on October 10, 2019 on this post within the Rafflecopter form, and also notified by email. The winner will have 48 hours to respond or I will have Rafflecopter choose another winner (read my full giveaway policy here).
International entries are okay as long as The Book Depository ships to you. Click here to check!
To enter – fill out the Rafflecopter form and let me know which book you would choose in the comments. Easy!
Yay! Happy 2nd birthday to your blog!! That's so exciting. I always love reading your posts and I appreciate all your thoughtful comments on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a copy of One Day in December - one of my favorites of the year and I'd love to add it to my shelves!
Thank you! I love that you read a lot of historical fiction, because it makes me consider books outside of my comfort zone. ;) One Day in December had me hardcore crying! It was such a bittersweet book, and then the ending... <3
DeleteCongrats on two years, that is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm happy to still be here. ;)
DeleteCongrats on the second birthday :D
ReplyDeleteLotte | www.lottelauv.blogspot.co.uk
Thank you! I cannot believe it's already been two years! <3
DeleteHappy bookish birthday, Lindsi!
ReplyDeleteYou're not wrong on how quickly time seems to go! I constantly stop and think wtf?! lol
Winter, You'd Be Mine, Repeat, Phoenix Unbound... All books I haven't read and would love to!
The covers for the Lunar Chronicles are unbelievably gorgeous!
Thank you, Nicci! I'm constantly thinking wtf, too! Haha. I cannot believe it's nearly October! Where has this year gone? How is my baby in school already? It's bananas.
DeleteHave you not finished TLC? Winter was the perfect culmination of the rest of the series! I was somewhat daunted by it's size, but it didn't feel like a long book. Everyone's individual stories were addressed, and the ending was exactly what I wanted it to be!
You'd Be Mine was a nice country book. ;) Repeat was hot with a little mystery! Phoenix Unbound was a captivating -- and somewhat brutal -- mystery. Good luck!
Happy Blogoversary!! I love your blog, and I hope you continue to blog for years to come!!! I'm so curious about The Poet X and The Lady Rogue - glad to see you enjoyed those.

I can't believe you haven't read The Poet X yet! It seems like a book you'd enjoy. :) The Lady Rogue was an epic adventure that I thoroughly enjoyed. Jenn Bennett is one of my favorites! <3
DeleteTwo years is brilliant! Lots of fab blogging!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I haven't read The Poet X either so that would be my choice
Thank you, Stephanie! The Poet X seems to be a popular choice, and I totally support this! ;)
DeleteAHHH! Happy blogoversaru Lindsi! I'm ridiculously excited for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for the giveaway - I'd defo pick The Lady Rogue as Jenn Bennet is one of my faves.
Megan S.
Thanks!! Have you read all of Bennett's other books? If you like adult books and haven't read Bitter Spirits, you should! It's a series I've been meaning to continue, but I'll need to re-read the first book before I dive into the second. <3
DeleteCongrats on the second anniversary milestone! =D
ReplyDeleteI like your list of read books from the past year. An eclectic collection. All Our Broken Pieces is one that I also read and really enjoyed this year. I think that A Court of Wings and Ruin is a book that I would choose if I won the giveaway. It is actually a book that I don't currently own a physical copy of.
Here's to many more blogging anniversaries to come! =)
Thanks, Vanessa! I feel like I just celebrated my first blogoversary, haha. I was a little surprised when the reminder popped up! I loved All Our Broken Pieces! I don't think it gets enough attention -- remarkable read! Have you read A Court of Wings and Ruin? I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as engaging as the trilogy. I want action and adventure, and ACOWAR was more fluff and filler. I liked it, but I want more!
DeleteCongratulations on two years, that is amazing! Especially with kids, it's not an easy feat for sure! Hoping for many more years to come!!
ReplyDeleteI have to blog when the kids are napping, or once they've gone to bed for the night! These days though... I'm usually napping with them, or falling asleep before they do. ;) I don't know what I'm going to do when they all have after-school activities!
DeleteHAPPY BLOGIVERSARY, LINDSI! ♥ Congratulations on this milestone, lovely, and here's to many more years of blogging!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, thank you so much for the really kind giveaway! If I were the lucky winner, I'd have a really hard time picking just one, because you've read so many incredible books! =D
Haha! There are a lot of amazing books to choose from! It was a wonderful year of reading for me, and I had a hard time narrowing it down to these. It's definitely a good problem to have though. Best of luck! <3
DeleteCongratulations!! I could've sworn you're a pro! Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is my second book blog (had one in college, too), so maybe I skipped over a few of the starter steps, haha. I don't get involved in the politics of blogging anymore, and I only read books I enjoy (which is why I started DNF&Y). It's changed my entire outlook on blogging, and my experience has been much more positive this time. :)
DeleteHappy blog anniversary Linds! It's been such a wonderful two years, I've loved reading your reviews and posts but especially grateful to have found such a wonderful friend. You're amazing Linds and here's to the next two years and beyond and sharing it with you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy we met and became friends! You're a lovely person and I enjoy talking to you!
DeleteHappy blogoversary, my friend! I'm so glad I found your blog or you found my blog... however we connected I am thankful for it! :) Congrats on two years and I hope for many, many more!
ReplyDeleteAs for which book I would choose... maybe One Day in December, which I loved and would be happy to happy a physical copy of (I read the e-arc), or Repeat by Kylie Scott which I have not read.
Thank you, Tanya! I have no idea how we originally connected, but I'm delighted it happened! You're a wonderful person, and I'm lucky to have you as a friend. :)
DeleteOne Day in December made me cry big, fat, ugly tears! It was worth it in the end though. <3 Repeat was great! I think you'd like it!
Thanks! <3
ReplyDeleteYay! Happy 2nd Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win Gods of Jade and Shadow. I've been dying to read it!
It was so good! I really loved all of the Mayan mythology. :)
DeleteCongratulations Lindsi and it's great to have you back!
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Whoop! You're such a fantastic friend, Karen! <3 <3 <3
DeleteCongrats love!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amber! :)
DeleteQuote: "I read and respond to every comment, and I do my best to visit your blogs as frequently as I can."
ReplyDeleteWe know and we appreciate! ๐ Happy blogoversary, and here's to many more!
Thanks! Your comments always make me laugh, because you notice really random things about my reviews (like when I address characters personally), haha. ;)
DeleteHappy blogoversary <3 Here's to many more!
ReplyDeleteUma@Books.Bags.Burgers.
Thank you! :)
DeleteHappy blogaversary! that's a really cool mix of books, though I gotta say I'm partial to the Kate Daniels series (those covers, though. They're so terrible!* /o\) and I hope you enjoy the conclusion to the story - I've yet to read book 10 because I don't want it to end!
ReplyDelete[Btw I think you might enjoy the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire; KD is more 'fun', but they share some elements and the audiobook narrator is exceptional too.]
(*) The French covers are waaay cooler.
I'm not a huge fan of the covers for the Kate Daniels series, but I love the story! I know what you mean... I was burning through the books (like two a week), and had to make myself stop. I didn't want to finish it! I want to make them last, haha. I'll definitely look into the October Daye series! Thanks for the rec! <3
DeleteHappy blogaversary. =D Wishing you many more years as a book blogger.
ReplyDeleteTรขnia @MyLovelySecret
Thank you! :)
DeleteAll the congratulatios on two years of blogging, such an amazing accomplishment <3 Here's to many more years of blogging and fun :) <3 <3
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie! Have I told you how much I love your new blog design? Amazing! <3
DeleteI would pick Shadow of the fox since I haven't read it yet and also congrats on your two year anniversary!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Julie Kagawa! I also really enjoy anime, and Shadow of the Fox had an anime-vibe. It's a good series so far! Soul of the Sword left me really wanting more. :)
DeleteHappy blogversary! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteWith the Fire on High was such a fabulous book! ๐✨
Thanks!! It was!! I really loved the family dynamics and how hard the main character worked for herself and her daughter. <3
DeleteHappy 2nd Blogoversary Lindsi!! So glad that you've stuck around the book community!! Soooo many good books here. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dani! I've really enjoyed blogging the last two years. I think I've found my groove! ;)
DeleteHappy Blogoversary! Book blogging really is a great outlet for chatting with other bookish adults, isn't it? So fun!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of great things about ONE DAY IN DECEMBER and a light, entertaining read sounds really good right now. Thanks for the chance to win!
It is! Also, One Day in December isn't light! It's heartbreaking and bittersweet for the majority of the book, haha. <3 It's a really great read though.
DeleteI loved A Curse So Dark and Lonely! It exceeded my expectations, and I'm jonesing for A Heart So Fierce and Broken! :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find my comment, so hopefully this isn't a repeat--congratulations on 2 years! I'd pick Two Can Keep a Secret. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteHaha! No worries. I haaate it when my comments get eaten, because I can never remember everything I'd said. ;)
DeleteHappy, happy, happy blogoversary and wishing you many more amazing to come!!
ReplyDeleteI would most likely pick The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren.
Thank you for a generous giveaway!!
Have you read The Unhoneymooners, or just like Christina Lauren? The book was fantastic! Especially the Bathroom of Doom! ;)
DeleteI'm SO far behind in my blog hopping! I think I wished you a happy anniversary on twitter, but just in case- Happy Blogoversary!!! <3
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Erica! Thanks for stopping by to say it again. <3
DeleteI kept meaning to drop by and say happy blogoversary after I saw your tweet, but obviously I completely failed. :( Happy belated blogoversary, Lindsi!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And no worries! :)
