ReplyDeleteOh I don't remember have you read House of X/ Powers of X? I just read em and wow- talk about ambitious. I have mixed thoughts but overall- not bad.
Jacob is really enjoying Yondu! He said it has a very interesting concept, and he's looking forward to reading more. Mary Jane is thriving on her own, living outside of Peter's shadow! She's actually working WITH supervillains right now, which is odd... Spider-Man pops up occasionally, but it's MJ's story. I like it so far!
DeleteI have officially given up on anything X-Men related. Excalibur, Fallen Angels, Marauders... it was UGH. I'm tired of hearing about Krakoa, too. Like, WE GET IT. ;)
A King Arthur retelling? That sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed more authors attempting King Arthur-like retellings, but haven't read any myself. Genevieve? (I think I spelled that correctly!) There was another one, but I can't think of its title. However, this one caught my eye because I have The Boneless Mercies, which everyone has raved about. :)
DeleteSeven Endless Forests looks good, both for the retelling element and the story itself. I'll keep an eye out for it.
ReplyDeleteI don't read a lot of retellings, but I'm willing to give this one a shot! The story sounds really interesting, and I think I'll like it despite it being based on another story. :)

DeleteI love the artwork on the Stranger Things GRs but people haven't seemed to like the stories very much, so I'm still on the fence. 😯
