State of the ARC is a monthly meme hosted by Avalinah at Avalinah's Books! It's an opportunity for readers to catch up on their long overdue ARCs, but right now I'm using it to keep up with my upcoming ARCs instead. It helps me stay organized!

Seven endless Forests looks awesome to me. I want it for the cover alone. And Jenn Bennett I need to read one of these days. I think the camping one Starry eyes? maybe? is the one that jumped out at me and I wanted to read... right now I'm pretty much just reading comics or GN's though, my book reading has been down...
ReplyDeleteI love the cover for Seven Endless Forests! Some people are really skilled when it comes to creating art, especially when it's supposed to represent a story. I'm always awed by other people's talent! I would suggest starting with Starry Eyes or The Lady Rogue. TLR has a lot of historical elements related to Vlad the Impaler! Very interesting! My overall reading has been really down, but since they're not putting out any more comics right now, I'm catching up on those! ;)
DeleteI definitely agree with what you said on my post, how it is so interesting to see the different ways people use State of the ARC. So many of these look really great.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading all of them! :)
DeleteI read 5 of those. LOVED What I Like About Me and Chasing Lucky. The other were just ok. Not bad, not great. I am jealous you have Breath Like Water. I was rejected (twice) for that book, but I hope to read it at some point. Good luck. That's quite a pile you have to tackle. I am almost through my May books, and once I get through June releases, it's light for me.
ReplyDeleteApril and May are big months for me, but things start to slow down in June. I'm wondering if we will all see a decrease in review copies due to the coronavirus. Everyone is delaying releases, and pushing events back. It'll be interesting to see what things look like in a few months. Sorry about Breath Like Water! It was actually something I received earlier this week, and didn't know anything about. After reading the synopsis, I can already tell it's going to be great! As for Chasing Lucky, that's one I've started, but not thoroughly enjoying! Josie is aggravating, and the secrets seem to pile on top of one another.
DeleteWOW and here I thought I had a lot of ARCs for the upcoming couple months ๐ I have a few of these- Breath Like Water, Lobizona, and Chasing Lucky for review. I traded for Seven Endless Forests, which I am looking forward to as well. Hopefully you enjoy most of these- all seems like a stretch hah but I hope as many as possible!
ReplyDeleteMy March, April, and May were pretty full! Things start slowing down in June, so hopefully I can catch up on everything then! ;) I've started Chasing Lucky, but I'm not thrilled with the main character, so I've had a hard time getting into it. I'm REALLY looking forward to Seven Endless Forests, and I'm obsessed with its cover.
