State of the ARC [26]

State of the ARC is a monthly meme hosted by Avalinah at Avalinah's Books! It's an opportunity for readers to catch up on their long overdue ARCs, but right now I'm using it to keep up with my upcoming ARCs instead. It helps me stay organized! Edit: State of the ARC is currently being hosted by Sarah (All the Book Blog Names Are Taken) while Evelina is on hiatus.

  1. As for your past due, Long Way Down and Holidaze were both great for me. I enjoyed Everything I Thought I Knew too. It had a bit of a twist, and I am all for any book that reminds people how important organ donation is.

    1. I hate how behind I am right now! In a Holidaze is one I'm really looking forward to picking up, so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. Their books have been hit or miss for me lately. Love books with a twist! <3

My parents were SO MAD when I added "organ donor" to my DL. They said it meant paramedics and hospital personnel "would be less likely" to save my life because they want to harvest people's organs. (Yes, they are insane.)

  2. Dude Holidaze looks fun, but maybe I just love that festive cover. Love and Olives is one I need to get to as well.

    How are your parents doing??

    1. Holidaze was delightful! Very warm and fuzzy, which is exactly what I needed. I'm starting Poisoned this month for book club, so fingers crossed it's good. ;)

  6. I am laughing to myself because mine looks pretty much exactly the same- with many of the same books! If it helps at all, I enjoyed all the books I have read that we have in common! (Black Sun, Chasing Lucky, Golden Fury, so hopefully the upcoming ones will go well for us both!

    1. Black Sun was good (what I've read so far), Chasing Lucky wasn't my favorite Bennett book (but I didn't hate it), and Golden Fury is going to be something I read soon (ish). <3 I hope you've been enjoying all of your reads!

  7. I love The Clockwork Crow cover!!
Aaalligator and The Old Man and The Penguin I've read and I found them both adorable.

You have a LOT of books coming in October/November! (Not that you needed me to state that, lol.) Good luck! I'm betting it was from a load of releases getting pushed back at the start of the year?

    1. I actually saw your reviews for Aaalligator and The Old Man and the Penguin, which is why I requested them! Thank you! ;) I'm just going to pretend October-December didn't happen and just focus on January. <3
