Top Ten Tuesday [7]

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together!

This week's topic: 2024 Releases I Was Excited to Read but Still Haven’t Gotten To

There are a lot of 2024 releases that I didn't get to in 2024, but they're definitely a priority for me this year (especially since most of them are ARCs or review copies I have and really need to read).

Book of the Month by Jennifer Probst
Ex Marks the Spot by Gloria Chao
The Hitchcock Hotel by Stephanie Wrobel
What the Woods Took by Courtney Gould

Exes & Foes by Amanda Woody
Indian Burial Ground by Nick Medina
Expiration Dates by Rebecca Serle

Have you read any of these? Which one should I read first? I always have a hard time choosing. πŸ˜…

  1. Indian Burial was creepy and Book of the Month was a cute, light romance.

    1. Good to know! I'm on hold for Indian Burial Ground (Libby). I'm hoping the audiobook has a good narrator. 🀞🏼

    1. Thank you! I'm trying REALLY hard this year to make a dent in my physical TBR and NetGalley books.

  4. Book of the Month looks fun, and I am an outlier, but I loved Expiration Dates. Serle aways hits me with a big twist that tends to be super emotional. I adore her books. Hope you enjoy them all if you get a chance to read them.

    1. I liked In Five Years more than One Italian Summer. You're right about emotional twists though!

    1. I will definitely read a book based on its cover, lol. Sometimes I don't even bother with a synopsis and just dive right in.

  7. Okay first of all, your website is adorable?! I love the falling snowflakes and your header image is perfection! 😍 I've only heard of two of the books you've mentioned here but the only one on my TBR radar is Ex Marks the Spot. I love that cover and it sounds like a fun YA contemporary. I hope you enjoy them if you get to them this year!

  9. Thank you for adding the Goodreads links. So many bloggers aren't doing this any longer and it kind of defeats the purpose of recommending books if people have to take extra time to go and find the book themselves.

I have Indian Burial Ground on my Goodreads October scary reads TBR shelf, and I added The Secret Language of Birds to my Middle Grade TBR shelf.

    Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

    1. Of course! I want to make it easy for people to add more books to their TBRs.😜 I'm going to read The Secret Language of Birds with my daughters. One of them calls herself a Bird Nerd and I think she'll really enjoy it. :)

  10. Ex Marks the Spot was a big miss for me. Tell Me What Really Happened was ATROCIOUS. I love love loved What the Woods Took. I am still mad I did not get approved for The Hitchcock Hotel.

    1. Oh no! That's two of my ten. 😭 Everyone has said What the Woods Took is amazing, so I might start with that one. That should have approved you for The Hitchcock Hotel... you probably would have read it on time. πŸ˜…
